On October 11, Rep. Abercrombie was invited to Fox CT’s The Real Story to discuss Governor Malloy’s budget cuts and their impact on human services providers and families. Kathleen Flaherty, Executive Director of the CT Legal Rights Project, was also a guest on the show and they had a healthy discussion with the show host, Jenn Bernstein.
Rep. Abercrombie is happy to have been name Children’s Champion by Connecticut’s Early Childhood Alliance. Every year, the Alliance recognizes legislators who worked closely with early childhood advocates to shape legislation that impacts the well-being of Connecticut’s young children in the areas of healthy development, early care and education, nutrition and safety.
