REP. ARCE PRESENTS RECOMMENDATIONS TO FOI TASK FORCE
After months of respectful discussions, Rep. Angel Arce presented a list of recommendations to members of the Task Force on Victim Privacy and the Public’s Right to Know in hopes to jump-start a productive conversation. The task force is expected to provide a final report to the legislature in January 2014, with recommendations regarding the balance between victim’s privacy under the Freedom of Information Act and the public's right to know. HARTFORD DELEGATION LAUDS ANNOUNCEMENT OF SECURITY FUNDS
FOR CITY SCHOOLS

Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced yesterday that Hartford will receive just under $500,000 to upgrade security and safety infrastructure at 13 City schools. This grant is part of the School Security Grant Program, which was created in response to the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School last December.
