Colt Park To Get State Funds

The State Bond Commission is allocating $450,000 in funds to Hartford’s Colt Park for the first phase of renovations and improvements to the athletic fields and other related improvements. I have been working persistently to secure state funds to restore the beauty of Colt Park. This park is one of our local gems and we must continue to work together to bring it back to its prime.

Local Schools Get Bonding Grants

The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts High School will receive $587,740 for their improvements, the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts Middle School $500,000 and Two Rivers High School will be getting $2,805,774.

Roberto Clemente's Life Celebrated

I was proud and honored to celebrate the 4th Annual Roberto Clemente Life Commemoration Event at the Sports Medical Science Academy on December 31, with an amazing group of youngsters who share a passion for sports and admiration for our beloved, the late Clemente. Every year we come together to celebrate our hero’s life with a display of memorabilia, readings and learning more about his contributions and extraordinary humanitarian heart. It is heartwarming to see more young people interested in Clemente’s history and maintaining his legacy for generations to come.

CT Medical Society Recognizes Arce

I was presented with the 2015 Legislative Recognition Award by the Connecticut State Medical Society (CSMS). This award is given to lawmakers for our efforts on behalf of physicians and the services their offer. This year, I earned the recognition for my support during the 2015 Legislative Session as CSMS worked to stop attempts to pass legislation that would have been detrimental to the medical liability climate in the state.
