In the 2016 legislative session we passed many laws that aim to make Connecticut a better place to live, work, and raise a family. Some of these new laws go into effect in October.

I wanted to share this communication from the CTDOT that is developing plans to revise traffic control signals at five locations in the city of Bridgeport.

The increasing cost of special education has placed a strain on many school budgets, especially Bridgeport’s. We are confident that a regional special education school can improve education outcomes for many students.

I was pleased to once again have the opportunity to appear on Cablevision’s “Meet the Leaders."

Housatonic Community College provides an important start to higher education opportunities for hundreds of students. These funds will help to continue the ongoing plans to renovate the school’s facilities to deliver an even more enriching student experience.

I joined with fellow legislators in support of legislation related to opioid addiction which continues to be a problem across the state.

I am proud to a part of a delegation that works together to ensure that our city continues to improve the quality of life for its residents. I am sure we will get right back to work next session on all of the issues that affect Bridgeport.
