Small businesses and nonprofits impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic can apply for a one-time $5,000 grant through the Connecticut CARES Small Business Grant Program. The applications are now open! Leaders of the legislature’s bipartisan Women’s Caucus, Co-Chairs State Rep. Dorinda Borer (D-West Haven) and State Rep. Rosa Rebimbas (R-Naugatuck) sent communications to Education Commissioner Cardona requesting information on the school re-opening plan and to offer recommendations. And also, requesting Attorney General Tong, to reconsider state’s appeal to the recent ruling of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, in A.R. v. Connecticut State Board of Education.
