Rep. Larry Butler was recently honored by the Connecticut United Supreme Council, A.A.S.R. Prince Hall Affiliation for "Sterling Service in the Uplift of Humanity". Rep. Butler was given their Silver Eagle Award, which is presented to people that have made significant contributions in their communities.

State Representative Larry B. Butler is pleased to announce the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has stocked Lakewood Lake in Waterbury with fish for a fourth consecutive year.
Joseph Stango, a Southbury resident who in 2005 attempted to bring his 83-year-old mother, Dora, home from a nursing facility. Because his mother's care was paid by Medicaid, Stango was told that her benefits would not follow her home. As a result, he was forced to leave her in the nursing facility. He then began advocating legislators at the State Capitol to create the “Money Follows the Person” program.
