Biography
Juan Candelaria has served as the State Representative from the 95th District in New Haven since 2002. The three-term Democrat is Vice Chair of the Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee and member of the Appropriations and Regulation Review Committees.
As a community leader, Candelaria is long-time advocate for youth and children's issues, specially committed to identifying educational opportunities to benefit their present and future lives; and by engaging them into different local and state government initiatives.
Juan is currently employed by TD Bank North, Bridgeport, CT as a Business Development & Sales Manager, where he developed and secured funding, established service programs and implemented after-school programs for children.
Past accomplishments include his involvement with Latino Youth Development in New Haven where he developed and secured funding, established service programs and implemented after-school programs for children.
