Earlier this week, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted the Pfizer BioNtech COVID-19 vaccine full approval, becoming the first vaccine to receive complete authorization following a comprehensive review by the agency, using the extensive data provided as well as conducting their own analyses.

In accordance with the CDC's recently updated mask guidelines, the State of Connecticut has announced that starting May 19th, fully vaccinated individuals will no longer need to wear masks or face coverings indoors or outdoors. Please note that this date is tentative and subject to change.

"This bill is critical in addressing the disparity by creating protections for people who step up to share their spare. No one should lose their life because they're sitting on a wait list, and this bill seeks to put an end to that here in Connecticut," said Currey.

There will be mobile vaccination clinics in East Hartford on Wednesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 936 Silver Lane, the former Showcase Cinema property.
