State Rep. Linda Menna Gentile stands with House Democratic leadership as they launch a series of "Energize CT" forums that will help educate residents and businesses on becoming more energy efficient. The first forum will be held in Ansonia on September 5 and will include a presentation by United Illuminating. Last week, House leadership announced several key components of crafting a successful long-term state energy policy, conservation and the development of two task forces, one on alternative fuels such as corn, bio-mass, and bio-diesel and one on renewable energy sources such as solar power.

Rep. Larry Miller and Rep. Linda Gentile welcome Marilyn Cormack, President of The Birmingham Group of Ansonia, along with colleagues Trudy Higgins and Arlene Greco to the floor of the House of Representatives. The Birmingham Group is a non-profit mental health services provider serving the lower Naugatuck Valley communities, including the cities of Ansonia and Derby.

On March 1, 2006, Rep. Gentile spoke in the house chamber in support of Judge Joseph Sylvester's nomination as state referee. Rep. Gentile's mother-in-law worked with Judge Sylvester as his administrative assistant.
