Minimum Wage in Connecticut Increases to $15 an Hour
May 30, 2023Connecticut’s minimum wage is set to increase from the current $14 per hour to $15 per hour starting this Thursday, June 1. In 2019, my colleagues and I passed legislation that would gradually raise the minimum wage over five years. Providing livable wages to the lowest earning workers is a step in the right direction to help them make ends meet and provide for their families.

I'd like to give a big shout out to the first responders not only from Danbury’s Police Department, but also those from our neighboring towns. They apprehended the shooter, and he was put in custody.
