Running a small business is hard work. We must continue to give entrepreneurs the tools and resources they need to succeed. That is why this year, we have introduced two bills that will help small businesses:
Tolls would yield hundreds-of- millions-of-dollars for our roads and bridges. It is the revenue stream we need to improve our infrastructure. The best part is out of state drivers would finally contribute to our road improvements.
The state is sending a $1.7 million grant for the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum in Wethersfield. The funding will be used to construct a new education and visitor center, which will provide education, exhibition and meeting space.
We are letting out-of-state drivers tear up our roads and we foot the entire bill. Out-of-state drivers would pay tolls. Why are we giving them a free ride when I have to pay when I go to New York, Massachusetts, Delaware, Florida and all over. It's an equitable way that's fair to everyone.
