TO CUT NUMBER OF PROBATE COURTS

Probate courts to go from 117 to 54
State Representatives Gail K. Hamm (D-East Hampton and Middletown) voted with the majority to dramatically reduce the number of probate courts in the state by more than half.  House Bill 7001, An Act Concerning the Recommendations of the Probate Redistricting Commission, passed in the House of Representatives 134 to 7.
