Bryan Hurlburt

Biography

Bryan Hurlburt is a lifelong resident of Tolland, and was first elected to the State Legislature in 2006.

Prior to his election to the General Assembly, his public service career included staff positions with former Speaker of the House James Amann, former House Majority Leader David Pudlin, and as the clerk of the Public Health Committee under then Senator Christopher Murphy. In all of these positions, Bryan learned how to make the legislative process and our government work on behalf of all state residents and is now putting these skills to work for the residents of the 53rd Assembly District.

In 2003, Bryan was elected to the Tolland Town Council. While serving on the Council, Bryan became intimately involved with the concerns of small towns by undertaking the difficult challenge of crafting a municipal budget that residents can afford while providing quality services. During his tenure on the Tolland Town Council, Bryan fought for proposals that focused on public education, public safety, and senior tax relief.

Bryan is a class of 1997 Tolland High graduate and a member of the University of Connecticut class of 2001. He and his wife Tracy reside in Tolland.
