STATE BUDGET PROTECTS TOWN AID

TRANSPORTATION FUNDING
Rep. Claire Janowski (D-Vernon) announced today that the General Assembly budget passed August 31st that successfully closes an $8.5 billion budget deficit includes valuable funding for Vernon programs. The $37.6 billion biennial budget was crafted following extensive negotiations with Governor M. Jodi Rell and was passed overwhelmingly in both the House of Representatives and State Senate. CELL PHONE NUMBERS TO “DO NOT CALL” LIST
State Representative Claire Janowski (D-Vernon and Rockville) urges residents to add their cell phone numbers to the national Do Not Call Registry to avoid annoying and potentially costly calls from telemarketers. Calls from telemarketers can eat up cell phone minutes and result in charges to your cell phone bill, depending on your calling plan and service provider. READ MORE
