Funds For Youth Services In Manchester

$170,300 will be given to Manchester over the next two years for youth services, and East Hartford also will receive the same amount for its youth programs.

Our children are our future and we must make sure they receive the services and help they need to guarantee their success in life. These grants will fund the programs families need and I’m proud we were able to secure the money.

Supreme Court's Ruling On Marriage Equality

Today will go down in history as the day where all love was made equal. After decades of fighting against marriage discrimination and for equal protection under the law, the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) has finally ruled in favor of marriage equality. This is a tremendous victory for not only advocates, but also for supporters of basic civil rights. Now families across this great nation will be protected and treated equally under the law. I am proud that Connecticut led the way in this fight for equality and justice and applaud the Court for their decision.
