FOX & LEONE WANT STATE TO HELP REBUILD CUMMINGS BEACH PIER
State Representatives Gerald Fox III (D-Stamford) and Carlo Leone (D-Stamford) have asked Governor Rell to authorize funding totaling $750,000 for the purpose of replacing Stamford’s landmark pier at Cummings Park. STAMFORD DELEGATION ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY
OF STIMULUS MONEY
Funds Support Energy Efficiency Programs
State Representatives Jim Shapiro (D-Stamford), Carlo Leone (D-Stamford), Gerald Fox (D-Stamford), Patricia Billie Miller (D-Stamford) and William Tong (D-Stamford) announced the availability of federal stimulus money that can go directly to municipalities for energy efficiency programs. Stamford is slated to receive over $1.18 million from the stimulus package for energy efficiency projects. In order to secure the funding the town need only provide the federal Department of Energy (DOE) with a plan outlining the proposed usage for the funds. READ MORE

Studio Could Bring Up To 200 Jobs to Area
State Representative Carlo Leone (D-Stamford) today said he was thrilled by plans announced last week to bring NBC Studios to Stamford. The studio could bring 150 to 200 jobs and an initial infrastructure investment of $3 million to the state.
