January 13, 2012 REP. RICK LOPES OFFICIALLY SWORN IN Rick Lopes was officially sworn in as the State Representative from the 24th House District in New Britain and Newington. Secretary of the State Denise Merrill presided over the afternoon ceremony in the State Capitol. Lopes, a political activist and local official, was elected in a special election and takes over the seat that was vacated by Mayor Tim O'Brien. |
