On June 16, 2008, Rep. Mazurek attended a bill signing ceremony with Governor Rell to celebrate the passage of Money Follows the Person legislation, which is designed to assist elderly and disabled persons to remain in their own homes with their loved ones as an alternative to living in a nursing home. Rep. Mazurek was one of the bill's main sponsors.
