On Wednesday, the House of Representatives took bipartisan and unanimous action to help cities and towns regain control of their streets as we voted 148-0 to pass HB 5413 to control takeovers, which have proven to be a concern for many of our residents. 

I wanted to reach out and remind you about two upcoming events I will be hosting on Wednesday, March 20th.

Representative Bill Heffernan and I will be hosting a Senior Forum at the Prete Senior Center on Wednesday, March 20th.

Yesterday, we allocated an additional $17 million in funds to assist with cold weather heating.

February marks Black History Month, a period dedicated to honoring the significant achievements of the Black community and confronting the enduring impact of systemic racism.

I am excited and deeply honored to share that I have received a 94% on the Legislative Report Card provided by the Connecticut Education Association (CEA).

The Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS), in consultation with the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE), this week announced that $8.8 million in special food assistance benefits is scheduled to be distributed Sunday, August 13, 2023, to the families of 57,313 children under age 6 who are enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
