Colder temperatures will soon give way to higher heating bills. November is Heating Assistance Awareness Month in Connecticut, and we are informing residents about several programs available that can help pay or lower their heating bills this winter.

Access Health CT's Open Enrollment period begins today through January 15, 2025. Connecticut residents can shop, compare, and enroll in health insurance plans or renew their coverage. Customers may also enroll in dental insurance through AHCT.

Governor Lamont and DEEP Commissioner Katie Dykes have issued guidance for the fires and droughts that have swept through the state recently, and there is currently a burn ban on all public lands in Connecticut. I have included more information below.

You may remember last month that the Community Investment Fund (CIF) earmarked $250,000 for development planning for West Haven's downtown Village Improvement District. The deal is now sealed following the State Bond Commission's final approval this week!
