As we continue our work at the State Capitol, I want you to know how we can improve the schools in our community.

Extreme cold weather is expected in the coming days across the state. It is important to be mindful that with it brings increased risks to ourselves and our communities.

I proudly voted to support a new four-year contract for the Connecticut State Police, which offers improved wages, benefits, and working conditions.

We are still in shock after the tragic passing or Rep. Quentin "Q" Williams. He died in a wrong-way crash Thursday morning in Cromwell hours after he was sworn in for a third term in the House.

As 2022 comes to end, I want to make to take a moment to reflect on the past year and be thankful for the support of the Stamford community. Cheers to another great year, as I wish much happiness, health, and wealth to all of you.

Great news! CareerConneCT is expanding its intake portal. The goal of CareerConneCT is to provide underemployed and unemployed Connecticut residents with resources and training necessary for the pursuit of a well-paying, high-quality career path. The program provides free job training, case management, supportive services, and employment assistance.

I am pleased to report that responsible budgeting and major structural changes made to pension and teachers' retirements plans are putting Connecticut on much more solid fiscal ground and saving taxpayers billions in debt payments.

With many families in Connecticut facing added financial strain due to rising prices, the legislature went into special session earlier this week to provide some relief. A bipartisan bill passed by the General Assembly and signed into law by Governor Lamont extends the current suspension of the gasoline tax, provides additional funding for energy assistance programs, and continues premium pay for frontline workers.
