Margaret Morton Nominated to CT Women's Hall of Fame

In celebration of Black History Month, I was proud to stand with a few of colleagues to honor Margaret Morton - the first African American woman to serve in the state legislature, and announce her nomination to the CT Women’s Hall of Fame. Supporting our call were Lt. Governor Wyman and New Haven’s Mayor Harp. Some of Mrs. Morton’s relatives were also present. We were all touched by the well-deserved tributes in her honor - her legacy is an inspiration to all of us!
