2010 Constituent Survey

As your Representative, it is important to me that I represent the interests of the people of the 145th District to the best of my abilities. 2009 was a very difficult year for our country as well as the residents of our state. In the Legislature, we had to deal with the challenging affects of the current recession.

For example, the demand for public services such as Unemployment Compensation and Medicaid increased while our state revenues decreased by 27%. As we prepare for the 2010 Legislative session, the challenges we face promise to be no less trying. With this in mind, I would like to know the thoughts and concerns of my constituents. Please fill out and return this survey. Your input will assist me when writing and voting on bills during the 2010 session.

Balancing The Budget: The Spending Side.

Our state is facing a budget deficit of historic proportions and unlike the federal government, our Constitution requires us to balance the budget. In order to do this, we must be creative, bold, and self-sacrificing. Once again, I cannot ask what program you would spend more on, or even spend the same on. I must ask that, if you were voting on the state budget, which of these programs would you cut a lot, cut a little, or try to protect. Please click one box for each program.
