Capitol Hall of Flags

It was an honor to welcome Wethersfield resident and World War II veteran Joe Civitillo and his family to the Capitol this morning as Joe donated his 296th Engineer Combat Battalion flag to the Hall of Flags. This is a permanent display on the first floor of the Capitol that features flags from various time periods beginning with the Civil War.

Workers Memorial Day

April 29, 2016

Workers Memorial Day is held in late April to commemorate the rough anniversary of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. The bill, signed into law the following December by President Richard Nixon, created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
