March 16, 2010 REP. NAFIS ANNOUNCES NEWINGTON TO RECEIVE $207,034 FOR ROADS
State Representative Sandy Nafis (D-Newington) announced today that Newington received $207,034 from the state in Town Aid Road (TAR) funds to make improvements to Newington’s roads and infrastructure. The funds were approved at the State Bond Commission’s meeting today, and the money is expected to be delivered to Newington within 2-4 weeks. READ MORE

AMBULANCE CORPS BILL HELPS SAVE VOLUNTEERS MUCH NEEDED FUNDS State Representative Sandy Nafis (D-Newington) announced that a bill saving volunteer ambulance corps money on workers’ compensation premiums passed the State House of Representatives.
