Groundbreaking Opioid Legislation Passes House
April 26, 2016Yesterday the House of Representatives unanimously passed groundbreaking legislation to address the state's opioid crisis. HB 5053, An Act Concerning Access to Overdose Reversal Drugs, acts both to help those currently struggling with opioid addiction and prevent new cases of addiction.
House Passes Medical Marijuana for Children
April 22, 2016On Wednesday, I was proud to bring out a bill which will allow for the limited use of medical marijuana (non-smokable forms) for children with serious medical conditions, such as epilepsy or cerebral palsy. HB 5450, An Act Concerning The Palliative Use of Marijuana, passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 129-13.
HARC Leadership Award

New Legislation to Combat Opioid Addiction
March 21, 2016Today I joined my colleagues at a press conference to announce new legislation to combat opioid addiction. I'm hopeful that this bill will save lives by preventing opioid addiction and overdoses.
