Biography

State Representative Kadeem Roberts proudly represents Connecticut's 137th Assembly district in Norwalk. Rep. Roberts is an assistant majority leader and is a member of the Committee on Children, the Education Committee, and the Housing Committee.

Born and raised in Norwalk, Rep. Roberts earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Virginia Union University in 2014 and a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Local and State Government from Fairfield University in 2018.

As a lifelong citizen who attended the Norwalk Schools system, Rep. Roberts wants Norwalk to remain a great city to raise a family and for residents to receive an excellent education, access to quality healthcare, and affordable housing.

In 2019, he was elected as the youngest African American to become a member of the Norwalk Common Council. As a council member, Rep. Roberts served on the public works committee, community service committee, land use committee, and arts commission, where he helped provide services to constituents in need.

As a representative of the General Assembly, Rep. Roberts will use his background in education to advocate for students across the state to have the best learning experience and provide the resources needed for success.
