Spanish Language Insurance Licensing Exams

I joined with House and Senate Chairs of the Insurance and Real Estate Committee Representative Sean Scanlon and Senator Matthew L. Lesser, Insurance Commissioner Andrew N. Mais and representatives from the insurance industry to announce the implementation of Spanish language version of insurance producer licensing exams. Beginning on October 1, 2019, insurance producers will have the option of taking licensing examinations in Spanish.

$90.8 Million For Bassick High School

The $115 million financing for the construction of a new Bassick High School remains on track. I’m very happy to report that today my colleagues on the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee unanimously voted to approve legislation authorizing $90.8 million in state bond funding – about 80 percent of the total project cost.
