LABELING PRODUCTS CONTAINING GENETICIALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS
State Representative Richard Roy supports placing labels on products that contain Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). The labels would allow Connecticut residents the ability to choose whether or not to purchase GMO items. This would not be a ban on GMO products. It would be better educating consumers as to what they were eating by means of simple labeling.

STATE REP. RICHARD ROY OPPOSES INCREASES TO BUS AND TRAIN FARES
As the Chair of the Environment Committee, Representative Roy (D - Milford) knows of the benefits of developing mass transit and helping people get to work and their destinations using bus and rail service. A 40% increase to the cost of bus fare and a 10% increase to train tickets as the Governor is proposing will hurt the poor, elderly and the everyday commuter. This kind of increase will discourage people to utilize mass transit.
