REP. SERRA ANNOUNCES FEDERAL FUNDING
FOR SUMMER YOUTH JOBS PROGRAM IN MIDDLETOWN
State Representative Joseph Serra (D-Middletown) said the Legislature has approved the use of $11 million in federal stimulus money for a summer employment program for young people from low income families. Serra said Middletown is scheduled to receive $122,331 under the plan, which will fund an estimated 60 jobs. READ MORE

State Representative Joseph Serra (D-33) welcomed an announcement from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that nearly $900,000 in grants is slated to come to the City of Middletown through the Middletown Housing Authority, as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
