June 24, 2009 Several dozen local and community leaders joined to voice their opposition to Governor Rell’s proposed budget cuts on the Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet School in Hamden. Rep. Sharkey told the New Haven Register, “If we go with the governor’s approach to the budget, [Wintergreen] will likely be cut because the governor is ignoring a significant portion of the deficit.”
