M.O.R.E. COMMISSION ANNOUNCES RECOMMENDATIONS
Speaker Sharkey announced the recommendations of the M.O.R.E. Commission which include an eventual phase-out of the local motor vehicle property tax, eliminating the mandate that towns publish public notices in newspapers, and a common school year calendar. READ MORE

I believe legislation (HB6329) allowing students to be excused from performing or observing dissections of dead animals in school not only encourages our young people to stand up for their beliefs, but protects them from being unwillingly exposed to practices they are uncomfortable with.
