Rep. Peter Terycak joined the Connecticut Working Families group in support of a SB 913 which would require businesses with 50 or more employees to provide paid sick leave based on time worked. Senator Edith Prague & Rep. Tercyak discussed how paid sick days are good for public health and good for business.

REP. TERCYAK ON SERVICES FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS
The State Bond Commission approved $1.35 million dollars for the Rose Hill Center to help defray the costs of renovating the property, which was formerly a Catholic orphanage. The five acre property now has 18 housing units (permanent supportive housing and transitional living) and counseling offices for victims of domestic violence and their children.
