LEGISLATION EXPANDS AVAILABILITY OF MORTGAGES
A bill supported by Rep. Pat Widlitz that would make more mortgages available to potential homebuyers in Connecticut was passed Monday by the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee. Noting that the state economy is still difficult for many people trying to improve their lives, Rep. FINANCE COMMITTEE TO PRESENT BUDGET PROPOSAL
Rep. Pat Widlitz, the House chair of the Finance Committee, says the committee’s budget proposal will be unveiled Friday. The committee has been working hard on its counter proposal to Governor Dannel Malloy’s $43.8 billion fiscal plan and has tried to work within the parameters of the governor’s plan.
