Education Funds Approved For East Haven

As part of a grants-in-aid package for improvements to 13 Commissioner’s Network Schools, Joseph Melillo Middle School received $249,923 for equipment for collaborative work spaces and classrooms, instructional technology equipment, and other needed classroom fixtures and furniture.

East Haven also received $580,000 as part of a grants-in-aid-package for general improvements to school buildings in Alliance Districts. Projects will include alterations, repairs, improvements, technology and equipment to help address building and site deficiencies, and to promote the health, safety, and learning of the students.

The funding was approved by the State Bond Commission and can be found in items 18 and 23 of the Bond Commission Agenda.
