Rep. Albis Promoted to Deputy Majority Leader

Rep. Albis has been promoted to be a Deputy Majority Leader for the 2017-2019 term by Democratic leaders, Speaker of the House Joe Aresimowicz (D-Berlin) and Majority Leader Matthew Ritter (D-Hartford.) As Deputy Majority Leader, Rep. Albis will serve as chairman of the Majority Leader’s Screening Committee, which is responsible for aiding the Majority Leader with the review and development of policy, the analysis of critical legislation, and coordinating the flow of legislation on the House floor. Rep. Albis will work closely with the Speaker of the House and Majority Leader to rally support to pass critical legislation.
