On Wednesday, our committee held an Invitational Round Table Discussion, where we explored several important topics relating to advancing sustainable and renewable energy initiatives.

Representative Allie-Brennan is excited to announce that over $300,000 has been secured in the newly adopted state budget to advance after-school programming at the Bethel Public Library and Danbury Youth Services.

In the past week, the Energy and Technology Committee took a step towards our second overhaul of electric utility accountability and regulation in three years with a bipartisan committee vote on Senate Bill 7 aimed at cutting consumer costs.

This Legislative Session, I introduced a bipartisan package of bills with State Senator Ryan Fazio advocating for changes to state statute 8-30g in an effort to increase local control over housing and zoning issues.

Speaker of the House Matt Ritter has appointed me as the Chair of the bipartisan House Select Committee on Sustainable and Renewable Energy.
