Fiber Optic Connection For Levi E. Coe Library

December 7, 2016

Increasing internet access and connectivity continues to be a major goal for making sure our communities keep up with the technological advances being made in electronic communications. The library will soon have the high-speed infrastructure that fiber optic connections provide over existing networks.

The grant is part of a 2015 package the General Assembly approved for funding a program for high-speed connections to the Connecticut Education Network – the Levi E. Coe Library is one of the first public libraries to receive a grant. The grant covers all costs related to installing a fiber connection and is expected to be completed early 2017.
