The Department of Energy & Environmental Protection is holding a public meeting this week on a proposal to use pesticides in Candlewood Lake. The Town of New Fairfield wants to use the diquat and copper sulfate to control at least two types of invasive aquatic plants in the lake.
Here are details of the DEEP meeting:
|WHEN:||Thursday, March 2, 2017, 7 p.m.|
||Meetinghouse Hill School
24 Gillotti Road
New Fairfield, CT
It would be great if you could make it to the meeting to voice your opinion on this issue. If you can’t be there, you can still submit your views by e-mail to DEEP. I think you will agree that it is important to be informed about the plants that are threatening Candlewood Lake as well as the effect pesticides may have.
