United in support of local firm

May 4, 2018

At a press conference today I spoke in support of an amendment to Senate Bill 9, An Act Concerning Connecticut’s Energy Future, which seeks to expand the use of clean, renewable energy as sources for the state’s power grid.

FuelCell Energy, based in Danbury with manufacturing operations in Torrington, is being shortchanged in the bidding process. The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has not accepted FuelCell Energy’s proposals to add fuel cell generated electricity to Connecticut's power grid.
