CT DOT Fare Hike Public HearingsAugust 10, 2016
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is proposing to increase fares on buses and rails. If the hikes are approved, Stamford residents will be paying 5% more to ride the Metro North Rail Road New Haven Line and about 17% more to take CTtransit buses.
CT DOT is holding public hearings on the issue, with two coming up in Stamford next month. I urge you to attend one of the hearings to learn how these proposed fare hikes will affect you.
The Stamford public hearings are Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 4 pm – 6 pm and 7 pm – 9 pm. Both are in the auditorium on the UConn Stamford Campus, One University Place, Stamford, CT.
This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions about the fare hikes. Click here for more information.
