Yesterday I joined fellow legislators, city officials, and community leaders for a forum on gun violence in Stamford. The meeting was held to brainstorm initiatives to decrease the frequency of shooting incidents. There have been nine shootings and 22 reports of shots fired around Stamford over the past six months, none of which have been fatal.

I support proactive solutions, such as providing greater support to at-risk teens, to prevent future incidents. By working together we can implement solutions to ensure that Stamford continues to be one of New England's safest cities.
