Leaders of the legislature’s bipartisan Women’s Caucus, Co-Chairs State Rep. Dorinda Borer (D-West Haven) and State Rep. Rosa Rebimbas (R-Naugatuck) sent communications to Education Commissioner Cardona requesting information on the school re-opening plan and to offer recommendations. And also, requesting Attorney General Tong, to reconsider state’s appeal to the recent ruling of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, in A.R. v. Connecticut State Board of Education.
My colleague, Rep. Reyes and I sent a letter to the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection Department requesting an evaluation and report of the process that was followed relating to the recent 2.1 million gallon sewage spill in the New Haven region on July 7.

We still have some road ahead of us to full recovery, but if we all continue to follow safety guidelines, we will get there.
Happy 4th of July!
Although this year's 4th of July celebrations and fireworks displays will be affected because of the pandemic, I still hope you have a ‘sparkling’ weekend!!!
