Restored: Aid to Towns & Hospitals

May 26, 2017

The General Assembly’s Office of Fiscal Analysis has found a way to avoid some of the Governor’s proposed fiscal year cuts. It’s good news for the city of New Haven and our local hospitals.

OFA will continue to allocate $19.3 million from the Municipal Pequot Fund and $2 million for community hospitals. To close this year’s budget deficit the Governor had proposed hitting towns and hospitals in the pocketbook. I will continue looking for ways to preserve the services we expect without raising taxes and placing a burden on those who can least afford it.
