In the midst of all the coronavirus daily updates and information, I would like to take a moment to bring special attention to April 1 - not because of April Fools, but to remind you to complete the 2020 Census on Census Day!

I want to share a few important updates that include the coronavirus, mortgage relief for Connecticut residents and businesses, helpful information from the federal government for small businesses as well as a couple of local highlights.

Yesterday afternoon, Governor Lamont announced that his administration has launched a zero-interest loan program to bring relief to Connecticut small businesses and nonprofits that have been impacted by COVID-19.

Connecticut's fight to slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues. As of yesterday, March 23, at 8 p.m. Connecticut joined New York and several other states by suspending all non-essential functions in the state.

Governor Ned Lamont and Economic Development Commissioner David Lehman have just released the list of “essential” businesses as part of the Governor’s "Stay Home, Stay Safe" Home initiative.
