Rep. Concepcion Reappointed Chair of Executive and Legislative Nominations
Speaker Ritter and Majority Leader Rojas have asked Rep. Julio Concepcion to continue to chair the Executive and Legislative Nominations Committee.
“Nominations often dominate the early days of the legislative session and Julio ensures we keep the process moving,” Speaker Ritter said. “There is a lot of work that goes into vetting nominees and Julio provides the entire House with the information we need.”
“Rep. Concepcion’s experience and professionalism has allowed him to skillfully lead the Executive and Legislative Nominations Committee,” Majority Leader Rojas said. “I am confident he will continue to be an asset to the committee and will work with both sides of the aisle for the best decisions to match talented nominees to appropriate positions.”
“I am honored to be reappointed chair of this committee that has the important role of overseeing the process of appointing key positions that have a direct impact on Connecticut residents,” Rep. The Executive and Legislative Nominations Committee oversees all executive and legislative nominations requiring action of either or both chambers, except judicial nominations, nominations of workers' compensation commissioners and nominations of members of the Board of Pardons and Paroles.
