Good News For CT's South Shoreline

July 12, 2017

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) just announced good news for Connecticut's south shoreline!

The FRA has chosen to remove a controversial rail bypass between Old Saybrook and Kenyon, R.I., for the Northeast Corridor. This is good news for the district as the rail bypass negatively impacted businesses and effected the property values of homes across the entire shoreline community and into Rhode Island.

I believe that the state and federal government need to work together to support access to high speed rails, but not at the expense of our community.
