State Representatives Michelle L. Cook (D-Torrington) and Christie Carpino (R-Cromwell and Portland), members of the Public Health Committee, are applauding the passage of HB 5321 out of committee. It will now be considered by the full House and Senate in the coming weeks.

For the first time, residents can take advantage of the state's new early voting law with Connecticut's April 2 presidential preference primaries.

We're heading into session on Monday, and much of the committee work is winding down.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation plans to install a Wrong Way Driver Countermeasure System on Route 8 South in Torrington at Exit 45.

We are speeding our way through this session, with deadlines coming up for some committees as early as next week. Public hearings and committee meetings continue, as well as opportunities to meet with constituents. Please know that if I can be of help to you, feel free to reach out to my office.
