Improving child development through recess

March 1, 2019

I am excited to share with you that a measure I am sponsoring to require school districts to provide at least fifty minutes of undirected play in order to develop children's social skills, physical development and emotional well-being was featured in the New York Times.

The proposal, H.B. 6202 has been referred to the legislature’s Education Committee, where  am hopeful that it will be granted a public hearing. Please stay tuned for more details and how to submit supporting testimony.
