DOT Announcement

November 29, 2017

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that occasional lane and shoulder closures will occur on I-95 NB and SB between Exit 8 & 9 in Stamford between 7PM and 5AM over the next six weeks, beginning on November 29, 2017. The closures are necessary to facilitate the ongoing rehabilitation of Bridge 0032 over Metro North Railroad.

The remaining portion of the project requires the replacement of the existing Pier#3 cap of the I-95 overpass. Class S concrete repairs will also be done concurrently with this work utilizing the temporary detour of South State Street on the sections of the existing piers that are above the roadway.

I-95 NB & SB shoulders will be closed occasionally between 7 pm and 5 am over the next six weeks.
South State Street has been closed from Lafayette Street to North State Street. South State Street Eastbound traffic has been diverted to Lafayette Street since mid-September 2017
