I
am happy to report that the new State budget
increases municipal aid for Newington by more than
$550,000.
This is an increase of more than $400,000
from the budget proposed by
Gov. Rell. Here are some more details:

Funding
for Local Construction Needs:

addition to the budgetary funding, important capital
projects were budgeted for Newington:

$150,000 for improvements to playgrounds at E.
Green School and Ruth Chaffee School.
